Overview
METZ Windows Lock is a security application for Microsoft Windows.
Lock will not prevent someone from rebooting or powering off your
machine, but it will prevent them from 'disturbing' your machine
via the keyboard or mouse. While Lock prevents user input it does
allow other applications to continue execution.
Lock appears on your screen as an icon in the form of a keyhole.
Lock can be activated by double clicking on the icon or selecting 'Lock'
from it's system menu. Lock is password driven and will not secure
your system until a password has been entered and confirmed. Once a
password is established, Lock will continue to use that password until
you change it.
All Lock menu commands appear on it's system menu.
Lock has the following command line options which can be used
individually or together:
/H or /h - Hide the Lock icon.
/L or /l - Automatically lock the system when run.

------------ METZ Lock version history ------------------
Version 1.2
* This version is compatible with Windows 2.x and 3.0.
* The dynamic link library DESKDLL.EXE has been renamed to METZDLL.EXE.
* Lock has a new icon.
Version 1.16
* Lock can now be hidden while in use with a command line parameter
of /h or /H. (i.e. WIN LOCK /H) Once you have configured Lock,
use this option to hide the Lock icon from view. You will need
to configure the inactivity option in order for Lock to be effective
when hidden.
* Lock now positions all dialog boxes in the middle of your screen.
Version 1.15
* The Lock configuration options were not properly saved. This has
been corrected.
Version 1.14
* Lock now provides you with the option to blank the screen while your
system is locked. Select Blank screen from the Configure dialog.
* Lock now automatically centers the password dialog boxes on your
screen.
* Lock now will issue a beep when an invalid password is entered.
Version 1.13
* Lock can now be automatically invoked from the command line with
a parameter of /l or /L. Use this parameter with your favorite
Windows menuing application (like METZ Desktop Manager) so that
your system will be locked when Lock is selected. Or, from the
DOS prompt type "WIN LOCK /L".
Version 1.12
* Lock now sets the Focus back to the application that was active
when the system was locked.
Version 1.11
* The auto lock feature was not correctly initialized, and thus Lock
timed out incorrectly. This has been fixed.
Version 1.1
* You can now double click on the Lock Icon with either the left or
right mouse button to lock your system.
* A Configure menu item has been added to the system menu of Lock.
Lock can now be automatically activated after 1 to 60 minutes of
inactivity. (Inactivity being no mouse movement or keyboard input.)
Use of this function requires that the included library METZDLL.EXE
be somewhere in your environment path.
The 'Trap mouse' option will confine the mouse to the Lock dialog box
when your system is locked.
